I was accepted to Onward Motions first race day at Nola Raceway in Louisiana. I've wanted to race on a track with other cars since I was a kid and this opportunity gave me that chance.

Everyone involved from Onward Motion to TCB Racing, was willing to do whatever it took to get people in the cars and show them a great time.

It was one of the funniest events I've been apart of pre-or post injury. If you want to drive or race I highly recommend you apply today.

I was nervous! Being in a completely different setup than I've ever been in and having to adapt quickly.

The crew and friends I met made everything feel comfortable. Even though I was involved in a wreck everyone lifted my spirits to keep going. Can't wait for the next one.

I got the opportunity to go race with Onward Motion team. I had so much fun

and it's definitely something I'll never forget.

The race team was amazing and made sure I was comfortable in the car and made me feel like I was one of the crew. I will definitely be signing up to do it again!

words carried me through.

Not only had it been years since I’d driven, but I also had to learn hand controls and go really fast — all in the same breath. It was a lot. And now my helmet says “Pokey,” which I guess is my new claim to fame!

But truthfully, the experience was worth a lifetime. I’ll never forget the feeling, the freedom, and the pride that came with doing something I never thought I’d do again.

And the people… wow. They didn’t just cheer me on — they became family.

Onward Motion gave me more than a ride.

It gave me confidence, courage, and a reminder that there is life after disability. And for that, I am forever grateful.

I didn’t know what to expect to be honest. I knew I was going to be a driver in the race, but I had never raced cars on a track before. Wow, what an awesome experience!

Once on the track, the speed and competition with the other racers was so cool to experience behind the wheel. I did not feel disabled at all, I was a race car driver just like the other drivers on the track.

I will never forget the experience, and I can’t thank Onward Motion and TCB Racing enough. If anyone likes cars and racing, apply to be a driver at an upcoming race, you won’t regret it.

The Onward Motion staff was supportive, encouraging, and truly passionate about what they do — and the **whole crew on site was just as amazing**.

Everyone went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, safe, and fully able to enjoy the moment.

Their energy, professionalism, and genuine excitement created an atmosphere that was both empowering and fun.

Driving that racecar was a dream come true, and I walked away feeling inspired and grateful.

I can’t recommend Onward Motion highly enough. If you ever get the chance to work with them or join one of their events, **do it — you won’t regret it!**

For my first time ever in any kind of race. I had the time of my life. It's definitely an experience I will never forget. When behind the wheel, I feel normal and forget my disability.

When racing cars, it's another way to challenge yourself and step out of your limits.

Behind the wheel, nobody knows your disability, only you do. I can't thank Onward Motion enough for the amazing experience.

Being able to get back on the track 20 years after being injured racing was a blast!

It felt so great to be back in that environment. The whole Onward and TCB crew made me feel welcome from the start and so glad to be a part of the family. Looking forward to the next event!

Onward Motion gave me an incredible opportunity to experience the adrenaline rush of door-to-door racing.

When I first learned about the opportunity through social media, I was excited but kept my expectations low — I honestly didn’t expect to be selected.

What followed was an unforgettable experience with some of the most amazing people

What followed was an unforgettable experience with some of the most amazing people from the TCB Racing and Onward Motion teams, along with incredible hospitality.

Everything was taken care of; all I had to do was show up on time. I’m truly grateful for the chance to be part of the team, and I am so proud to be part of the Onward Motion Family.

My name is Brad and I’d love to share my experience when I became an Onward Motion race car driver.

A little backstory about me. In October of 2021, I had a motorcycle accident that left me as a T10 paraplegic.

A little backstory about me. In October of 2021, I had a motorcycle accident that left me as a T10 paraplegic.

The universe may have slowed me down but it never stopped my drive to live an exciting and fulfilling life.

Earlier in 2025, I’d seen Onward Motion was seeking applicants for an upcoming Lemons Race Event. This sounded like something that was made for me but truth be told, I had never raced on a road course track before.

I applied because, why not, but I didn’t expect anything  to come from it. About a month later, I was contacted for a video interview.

I felt awesome after the interview but nervously waited for the official yes or no. After getting the official yes, I couldn’t believe it.

After waiting for what seemed to be forever it was finally race weekend. I was at the track super early Friday. Friday was a test and tune day.

It was the day to get aquatinted with the race car and it was great. I could have left after Friday’s experience and been a happy man.

Saturday morning was another early day. I was lucky enough to start the actual race for our team.

I was on the track with almost 100 cars. After a few hours on the track, I came into the pits for a driver change and spent the rest of the day with my fellow racers.

Sunday’s word of the day was rain. It made track conditions at the National Corvette Museum’s already technical racetrack even more challenging. After the dust settled, we were 17th in our class BUT we were the only hand controlled car there.

The people at Onward Motion are amazing. Thank You for giving me and others like me the opportunity to get strapped into a race car and do some bucket list stuff.

I first heard about Onward Motion over the summer as I was scrolling thru my Facebook feed and saw their post for an opportunity for disabled individuals to participate in the Lemons 24 hour road race.

Having had an interest in racing I entered my name and after interviewing with Bryan the founder I was selected as an alternate but later bumped up and given what was an unbelievable exceptional opportunity.

It was truly unforgettable and an experience that I will always remember.  After flying into Nashville Tennessee I then rented a car and traveled an hour north to Bowling Green Kentucky and the raceway.  Upon my arrival I met Bryan, his wife Tara and my teammates.  I also met the guys from TCB racing.

After a meeting discussing the weekends agenda I was fitted with a professional race driving suit.  As I recall when it was my turn at the wheel on the practice day I had a good turn on the track and for not having ever raced before did well.  All the while I was given great advice from Bryan and the TCB crew.

The mini cooper that I drove handled very well and was incredible to drive.  On the 2nd day I did even better however unfortunately towards the end of my turn I vomited as a result of having ate too much for breakfast and the side effects of an antibiotic that I was taking for a bad infection and had just been released from the hospital a few days earlier.

Unfortunately as a result I choose not to race the following day.  Nevertheless it was an amazing experience in which I made some new friends, learned about professional race car driving, the Lemons races and had some memorable conversations and good food.

I'm very happy and glad I did it and hope to do so again in addition to some of the other upcoming Onward Motions events.
